Neons on nails for summer is everywhere, but some neon colors I just cannot do, like highlighter yellow. With my pale-ish skin, that is just a no. I am obsessed, however, with the “perky purple” in Essie’s new summer Neon Collection. The other shades are: punchy pink, funky limelight and flirty fuchsia.

The colors go on matte, which is the trend for fall, but you can always go shiny by adding a clear top coat. Recently, I read a tip that if you like the matte look, but want a top coat to make your mani last, add a layer of base coat over the color.

However, my fav nail place, Fancy Nails, is a little, um, slow to get the latest nail polishes. Maybe I should go to Gloss? They probably have it, but I love my ladies at Fancy Nails. Hmm.
